Cheers to the freakin' weekend! I am ready for this weekend. Only a couple weeks left of summer before school starts back up and it starts to feel like Fall. I have a weekend plan for both some fun activities but also some much-needed downtime. The best kind of weekend. Do you have anything fun planned?

A couple of weeks ago I was shopping at a local favorite, Primp, because I got too early for my hair appointment. They have a bunch of locations in the Twin Cities and it's fun to shop at different sites to see what they have. It was a particularly nice day and I was feeling sunny. I picked up this dress and tried it on. It's one of those moments where you almost hear a 'bing' in your head. Like, this dress fits you like a glove and you must have it. I have noticed about myself this cut is the most flattering, and I would imagine it is for a lot of women. The top is more fitted, which is the area I am most comfortable with. The key here is where the waist hits and the dress flares out. It hits me just above my natural waist, i.e. the thinnest part of my frame. It flares out just where you would want it too. It's such a flattering silhouette and creates a lean figure. Highlights exactly what you love and effortlessly covers what you don't.
I have worn this to work a couple of times now and found it to be so fun for summer at the office. I can wear this with heels as I do here, or I could with some neutral flats. I paired it with my go-to block heel, that basically goes with everything. I would stick with a nude, tan or beige with the brightness of the dress. I kept the jewelry simple. For me, going with color is a lot and I don't like to overwhelm it with too many accessories. That's just me. What else is awesome about this is I could layer a jean jacket over it and a closed toe bootie and wear it early in the Fall.
