Happy Friday! I am so ready for this week to be over. For some reason this week has been super slow and I am basically over it. Everything slowed to a crawl and the weather has been disgusting, hot and humid. Like walking into a sauna humid. I am hoping for a bit of a break in this weather. I am headed to a festival tonight so fingers crossed for me, k thanks!
Sick of my whining yet? I did have some positives this week:
1. OLYMPIANS
I love the Olympics. Although I don't watch everything I have my favorites to watch. In the summer that sport is gymnastics. It helps when we have the best team in the world. Not only did we win, but we dominated. That is always more fun. Although the story is about Simone Biles, I will always have a soft spot for the person on their last ride. Aly Raisman is pretty spectacular and her individual performance, especially on the floor routine, was breath taking. Amazing to see her get her due. #GoUSA
2. GANGSTA PUPS
This week it appears my pups got into a little brawl. I think it happened outside and probably more because their nails seriously needs to be clipped. I went to say goodbye and I saw three distinct claw marks on Riggs. If he didn't have such a sad face he could have looked gangsta.
3. WHEN I SAY 'SUICIDE' YOU SAY 'SQUAD'!
On Wednesday D and I went to see Suicide Squad. The reviews were pretty terrible and I was disappointed because I was incredibly excited for this movie. My younger sister saw it and said she loved it. I trust her judgement as she knows way more than me about comic books. I am happy to say I really enjoyed this movie. This is an enjoyable side adventure with some fun and quirky villains. Overall the plot was solid. My only issues: 1) it has several dialogue issues (cheesy lines, etc) and 2) they don't use the joker as much as you think they do based on the commercials. It is fine in the movie but you are expecting to see more of him.
4. FRIENDS
On Tuesday D and I got together with some close friends for dinner. We very rarely get together during the week so it was kind of a nice break in routine. We met at an Axel's Bonfire and I was starving so I ate my weight in hamburger. We do not see each other nearly as often as we used to I was glad we could finally find a time where we could all be together.
5. NEW HAIR DON'T CARE
Last but certainly not least I got a haircut this week. This is literally one of my favorite things to do. I have been a redhead now for several years. Most of my life I was a blonde. I really love my red hair but I have been feeling the sting of wanting to return to my roots (ha, get it?) for a while and decided to go for it. Problem is that it will take a bit to transition but I'll get there. My aunt does my hair and always does and amazing job. I will keep you posted as the transition continues
How was your week? Leave me a comment below!
Always, linking up with these lovelies!
