Happy Monday! This last weekend was pretty fantastic. Back to the grind on Monday is always hard but easier after a good weekend.

On Friday I had the day off kind of randomly. I decided to take advantage of this time off by visiting both my grandma's. They happen to live in the same building so it's perfect. I visited with my nonna first then my grandmother. I love my grandma's and I don't see them enough.  When I got home I was greeted by my little sunbather pup. He loves to lay in the sun. I think because he has such short fur the gets cold easily. He is kind of a like a lizard and needs lot of sun. It's adorable.

Afterwards D and I went to hang out with some friends of ours. It was a nice night out for a change, no humidity cool temp, and we spent most of the night on their porch. Eventually the bugs got to be too annoying and we went inside. Our friends are outdoorsy types, so they do not watch a lot of TV. That is where we come in as that is all we do. We encouraged them to start a new show and it was a success :)

On Saturday we had a few things to do. We got up relatively early to hit the gym. Then we ran to Target to grab a few things at which I noticed that they have significantly upped their  workout clothes game. How cute are these?

Later we went to my niece's 7th birthday. It was a bit of a smaller party. Her mother, my sister-in-law, had her fourth baby last week and the two oldest were headed to their grandma's for a week where they will see their dad's side of the family. It was always fun to celebrate and watch them open gifts and get excited and/or embarrassed.

Later that night my dad and D went on a brewery cruise so my mom and I did a little shopping. We hit up Banana Republic in Roseville and met the funniest store employee. I was trying to help my mom find some new clothes for work and get out of her comfort zone. Once our fancy helper found this out he picked out a few great pieces she looked amazing in. To boot, there was 40% off, 50% if you were a card member. So she definitely bought more than intended. She thought she had a card, but never activated it. The store employee gave her the discount anyway and helped start a new one. For starting a new one she got 15% off. At the end she got 65% off and got a screaming deal. It was amazing. After we had some more time to kill so we grabbed an appetizer and some drinks before picking the boys up.

Sunday was the laziest day. I woke up and laid in bed for a while before asking D to make some breakfast. He made french toast, sausage and hashbrowns. It was awesome. After that I pretty much laid around the rest of the day. D did a little bit of work to get our new office ready. (It's the room on the other side of the closet). He worked and I sat around. I probably should have been more helpful. I did get to cuddle my pups and watch some movies, which was fun.

That was pretty much my whole weekend. Now the weather finally cooled off around here so I got to break out the jeans and tee shirt again. I finally got to wear this peplum top from Banana Republic. It's super comfy and I love this almost clay color. It's neutral so it's right up my alley. The downside of the flowy top is you need tight pants. I paired these best with my skinny distressed jeans. I love these jeans. They are so comfortable and just enough distressed to not look like I was slashed by a tiger. You all know the jeans I am talking about. Because of the peplum detail you don't need much for accessories. I love this little bar necklace. You don't see many pendants that are horizontal, which is why I like this. Perfect cooler summer outfit.
